Lake in the hills is a GREAT town to live in. Atleast it was many years ago when I moved here. It was a small quiet town and nothing ever went wrong here. But now that it has been built up there are many colors starting to show...My car was broken into last night to this morning between 11pm and 7:30am. They got away with a $400 video camera, a $200 camera and $100 in tounge rings and god knows what else is missing because I had so much in there! Also while the cops were at my house finger printing my car I heard over the radio 6 other reposts of car burglary. (This was on 8-28-2008) And there has been much more--all towns have issues and some bad apples but our nice little town is going down hill very quickly.

You are absolutely right. In our "neighborhood," there are alot of foreclosures and short sales. People who can't afford to live here do, thus all the foreclosures. People here are troublemakers, rabble-rousers, just plain trashy. We plan on moving when house values go up, but honestly, I don't think they're ever going back up here.
